Position Summary
Under general supervision from the Manager of Benefits, the incumbent is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the University’s insurance programs. These programs include, but are not limited to, health, life, and other voluntary insurance plans. The incumbent also provides support for leave-related programs, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Workers’ Compensation.
Additional Position Information
The incumbent will be responsible for a variety of benefits administrative tasks, including but not limited to: processing and advising on Qualifying Life Events; serving as a liaison with state insurance vendors and the Office of Group Benefits; performing calculations for payroll adjustments related to premium changes for Accounts Payable and Payroll; and conducting routine data entry audits to verify accuracy and identify issues.
 
They will also occasionally provide backup support for leave programs such as FMLA and Workers’ Compensation.
 
Strong communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills are essential to success in this role.
 
This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role is based fully on-site and does not offer remote or hybrid work options.
